Apart from the lead actors, the rural drama Pushpa: The Rise also has Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil who played the role of antagonist. This big budget film is written and directed by Sukumar of Rangasthalam fame. The movie was released on 17th December and received mixed response by the movie lovers and critics on its release day but finally the movie has turned out a blockbuster at the box office.
