Pushpa: The Rise, the rural drama starring icon Star Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna which was released on 17th December, is running successfully at the box office. Before the movie gained traction at the box office throughout the world, Sukumar’ magnum opus Pushpa sparked controversy on social media for a variety of reasons.
The big-budget picture, which premiered on Friday, has received favorable reviews, from each corner. While Pushpa is expected to extend its run in theaters for a few more weeks, the people who don’t want to go out in public, especially in light of the growing anxiety over the Omicron variation of Covid-19, are hoping to see the film on OTT soon. Meanwhile Amazon Prime Video bagged the Post-Theatrical Digital Rights of Pushpa: The Rise.
Sukumar’ Pushpa is likely to have a grand digital premiere by end of January or the early week of February. The sources say that the makers had a deal with Prime Video to release the movie only after its successful theatrical release. However, the makers are yet to announce the official digital release date of Pushpa.
Pushpa: The Rise is the third time association with Allu Arjun and Sukumar. On the otherside, Sukumar is planning to resume the shoot of Pushpa 2 from February.
