Rahul Gandhi strongly condemned the attack on Andhra Pradesh Congress president YS Sharmila and Vivekananda Reddy’s daughter YS Sunitha Reddy on social media platforms. Rahul posted on X: Insulting women, such an attack on them is described as a cowardly act. Unfortunately, in recent times, it has become a weapon for some. He said that the Congress party condemns this shameful attack on YS Sharmila and Sunitha. Rahul Gandhi wrote in his post that he will support both of them along with the party.
Recently, YS Sunitha, daughter of former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy, complained to the Hyderabad police. She explained that he and YS Sharmila were being threatened along with obscene posts on Facebook. In her complaint, she mentioned that they are posting threats to kill. She asked the Cyberabad police to take action against those who shared the posts. YS Sunitha also mentioned the name of Varra Ravindra Reddy in the complaint. She expressed her concern that there are posts in a highly offensive and disgusting manner.
Congress leader Sachin Pilot also condemned the threats against APCC President YS Sharmila and demanded strict action against those responsible.
