Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visited the memorial of his father and former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi this morning to pay respects. He also paid tribute to the former prime minister at his memorial Sadaiv Atal, in New Delhi. He also visited the memorials of Mahatma Gandhi, former Prime Ministers Jawaharlal Nehru, Lal Bahadur Shastri, and Indira Gandhi.
Rahul Gandhi is in Delhi for a week-long break from his Bharat Jodo Yatra, and he was seen at Veer Bhumi in a t-shirt and trousers and walked barefoot as Delhi shivered due to a cold wave sweeping across north India.
During ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ in Delhi in freezing cold, Rahul Gandhi was seen walking in his typical white t-shirt, cargos, sneakers.“They keep asking me how I do not feel cold,” Rahul Gandhi said, referring to journalists’ questions.
Headded, “But they do not ask farmers, the workers, poor children, this question,” he added, speaking further about those who may not be able to afford basics such as warm clothes. He added, “I have walked 2,800 km, but I believe that is not a big deal. The Farmers walk so much every day, as do farm labourers, the factory workers , all of India.”
