Rahul Gandhi: Many people are still fighting against the onslaught on our democratic structure

Congress supremo Rahul Gandhi alleged that after Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister, everything about democracy in India has changed. He expressed concern that democracy is now weakening and the majority of the population is not being allowed to speak. He said that even though democracy is under severe attack, the country is protecting it. He stated that when that protection ceases, India will no longer be a democratic country.

Rahul Gandhi said that many people are still fighting against the onslaught on our democratic structure, it is not over and they hope to win. The Congress party yesterday released a video of Rahul Gandhi remarks at the University of Oslo in Norway earlier this month.

Rahul Gandhi also responded to the news that efforts are being made to change India’s name to Bharat. India’s name has changed to Bharat if the opposition India Alliance also changes its name, then the Prime Minister has argued that the name of the country will be changed again.

Amidst the laughter of the audience, Rahul Gandhi commented that he does not believe that if any political party wants to change the country’s name and win because of a mere choice of name, that would be a world record. Rahul made it clear that no one in India’s alliance will tolerate the killing of Indian democracy.
