Rahul Gandhi meets Pa Ranjith and KalaiyarasanRahul Gandhi, the Indian National Congress President met with director Pa Ranjith and Kalaiyarasan who acted in Kabali and Madras, on Tuesday.

Indian National Congress President Rahul Gandhi met Pa. Ranjith, who is popular for his directorial ventures like Kaala, Kabali, Madras, and Attakathi. The source say that both Rahul Gandhi and Pa Ranjith discussed about films and political ideologies. Kalaiyarasan, who acted in Pa Ranjith’s Kabali and Madras, was also present there.

 Rahul Gandhi himself confirmed this news via his tweet.  Rahul Gandhi took to his twitter to share his pics with Pa Ranjith and Kalaiyarasan, he captioned it, “I met film director P A Ranjith the man behind blockbuster films like Madras, Kabali and Kaala and actor Kalaiyarasan, in Delhi yesterday. We talked about politics, films and society. I enjoyed the interaction and look forward to continuing our dialogue.”

Pa Ranjith also wrote on his twitter, “IMP.meeting with @RahulGandhi abt politics&art.Discussed caste&religious bias threatening d core of our secular constitution.Thks for having me over Sir.Lookin forward for our discussion taking shape.A national leader engaging with ppl from all ideologies is very encouraging!”

Pa Ranjith criticized Modi government and his clean India movement in his recent offering Kaala starring Superstar Rajinikanth, Huma Qureshi and Eshwari devi, which was produced by Dhanush.

Though Pa Ranjith has directed only four movies in his career but the young filmmaker has taken the industry by storm with the socio-political commentary in his movies.

Rahul Gandhi’s meeting with Pa Ranjith comes ahead of the former’s likely bid for the country’s top job in the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

 On the work front, Pa Ranjith is yet to announce his next upcomingproject. However, he is producing a movie Pariyerum Perumal starring Kathir and  Anandhi, which is directed by his assistant Mari Selvaraj.
