Kaala USA Box Office collectionKaala starring Superstar Rajinikanth, Huma Qureshi and Nana Patekar, was released with much expectation in USA but the premiers collections figure  are disappointing the audiences. Kaala was  premiered in close to 300 locations on 6th June but  the movie has taken a poor start at USA box office.

The trade analyst Jeevi took to  Twitter to share the collection figure of Kaala. He tweeted, “#Kaala USA hourly gross at 7:30 am PST on 6 June is $151,221 from 180 locations. USA premiere shows start 12 noon EST. what are your expectations for premieres?

According to the latest update, the Premieres Gross has crossed $0.6 Million. Andhra Box Office tweeted, “#Kaala Takes a painfully slow start in USA and looking at $0.6 Mn (Wed) Premieres. #Kabali (Thu) Premieres stood at $1.925 Mn apx. [sic]”.

It is expected by the end of the day,  Rajinikanth starrer gangster drama Kaala  might collect around $650 K including all languages. The low key promotions and failures of Rajinikanth’s previous movies like Kabali and Linga are said to be the reasons why the special shows of Kaala did not attract the audience attention.

Kaala is helmed by Pa Ranjith and produced by Dhanush under the banner of Wunderbar Films and Lyca Productio. Earlier Pa Ranjith and  Rajinikanth have worked together for Kabali which collected $1.9 Million from its premiers.  But finally Kaala has failed to beat  the record of Kabali, which had minted $ 1,925,379 from the Thursday premieres. Rajinikanth’s previous offerings like Lingaa and Endhiran earned $404,566 and $260,000, respectively.

Meanwhile, Kaala has taken a good start at the Tamil Nadu box office. The state government has also permitted single screens to have special shows for the first two days.

On the otherside, Kaala was leaked on 6th June on Facebook before the official release. The movie revolves around oppressed Tamils of Mumbai, and Rajinikanth is playing the role of a don in the film.
