Congress leader Rahul Gandhi gave an enthusiastic speech after seeing the huge crowd at the Janagarjana Sabha on the Khammam ground. He described Khammam district as a stronghold of the Congress party. Rahul Gandhi said that he was welcoming Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy into the Congress party through this meeting. He explained that he was thanking Ponguleti for joining Congress from BRS.
Rahul Gandhi criticized that once Telangana was a dream for the poor, farmers and everyone, BRS party destroyed that dream which was realized by the Congress party for nine years. Rahul Gandhi criticized that KCR thinks he is the king of Telangana and that he thinks Telangana state is his fiefdom.
“KCR grabbed the lands given to the poor. The remote control of this chief minister is in Modi’s hands. Modi knows all the scams of KCR. I learned about the issue during the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Crores were looted in Mission Bhagiratha. A corruption of one lakh crores was committed in the Kaleshwaram project. People were robbed in every way.
Rahul Gandhi said: We are announcing a historic decision through this Khammam Sabha. When the Congress party comes to power, we will give a pension of Rs 4 thousand to the elderly and widows. We hope that this decision will bring a change in the lives of the poor.
KCR’ BRS government currently provides Rs 2,016 per month as the pension for senior citizens and widows under the Aasara Pension Scheme.
