Rahul Gandhi to contest Lok Sabha from Karnataka or Telangana

Rahul Gandhi won from Wayanad constituency in Kerala state to return to Parliament after losing Amethi to BJP’s Smriti Irani, in 2019 Lok Sabha elections. According to the latest report, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will contest the parliamentary elections from Telangana. There are chances of Rahul Gandhi contesting from Khammam and Bhuvanagiri seats in Telangana.

The Congress party, which aims to win a significant number of parliamentary seats from upcoming Telangana elections, is already working on the selection of candidates. A decision has already been reached regarding the candidates contesting in the majority of the parliamentary seats. The Congress party hopes that if Rahul Gandhi contests from Telangana, there will be chances of party victory.

Few are also saying that Rahul Gandhi may contest from either Karnataka or Telangana apart from the Amethi constituency in Uttar Pradesh.

A few months ago, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy Revanth Reddy and Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka personally appealed to Sonia Gandhi to contest from Telangana state in the upcoming parliamentary elections. Sonia Gandhi has shown reluctance to contest direct elections due to health reasons. She was elected from the state of Rajasthan in the recently held Rajya Sabha elections.
