Dear Comrade was one of the most awaited movie of Telugu film Industry, which was released on 26th August 2019 but the collections rate of the movie is not satisfactory. Dear Comrade is facing very tough competition with Puri Jagannadh’ directorial venture iSmart Shankar starring young and energetic actor Ram Pothineni, Nabha Natesh and Nidhhi Agerwal. Ram Pothineni movie iSmart Shankar had come out in the theatres a week before the arrival of Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna starrer action and romantic entertainer Dear Comrade. Now the controversial filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma aka RGV has made sensational comments on Vijay Deverakonda starrer Dear Comrade and compared it with iSmart Shankar.
Ram Gopal Varma has already showered praises on Puri and Charmee Akur’ iSmart Shankar, and already he has watched the movie 2 times. Ram Gopal Varma took to his Twitter and compared the collections figure of iSmart Shankar and Dear Comrade.
RGV tweeted, “is issmart shankar more Issmart than nonissmart comrade or is nonissmart comrade not more issmart than Shankar? Truth only RAM’s VIJAYam knows”

One of the fan named Manoj tweeted, “It is such a disgrace that you are demoralizing a quality content film by comparing it to a commercial entertainer. I can’t believe an uncontent man like you made content films then and making uncontent statements now. Content cannot be a content for an uncontent man like you.”
