A. Revanth Reddy, the chief minister of Telangana instructed the authorities to promote the enactment of welfare schemes and developmental programmes ahead of the code of conduct for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, with the Congress having a squint at a minimum of 14 seats on the milieu of its Assembly election dispatch. The chief minister is looking to lay the foundation stone for the Airport Metro project in the coming week.
Further, he will also announce the crop loan waiver of up to Rs 2 lakh, allow interest-free loans to women self-help groups, start Rythu Bharosa covering farmers, tenant farmers and agricultural labourers and effectuate the Cheyutha pensions in the place of Aasara pensions for senior citizens and women. According to sources, the Congress directorate managed to address 3.96 lakh grievances lodged since 8th December under the Prajavani scheme with 94,000 unsettled applications.
Revanth Reddy was asked by the high command to select candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. As a result, the Congress is looking to select Patnam Sunitha Reddy, the Zilla Parishad Chairman of Vikarabad, and the wife of BRS MLC and former minister Patnam Mahender Reddy from Chevella. Recently, the couple also joined the Congress party after having a meeting with the state’s chief minister. Prior to the general elections, the Congress party has committed to chair public meetings at all 17 Lok Sabha constituency headquarters in March.
However, Revanth Reddy assigned the duty of the rapid reform of Prajavani applications to the freshly elected Vice Chairman of the TG Planning Board G. Chinna Reddy, guiding him to revise the programme two times per month and coordinate with the certain departments for rapid resolution of applications.
