Renuka Chowdary expressed confidence that no one in the Congress party would say no to the Khammam ticket. She said that AICC supremo Sonia Gandhi was sincerely asked to contest from Khammam. If Sonia contests from Telangana, it will be a very good sign. She said that currently the Khammam Lok Sabha seat has been reserved for Sonia Gandhi and the rest depends on her decision.
She denied that no matter how many campaigns anyone did in the matter of contesting from Khammam. Revanth Reddy will be the Chief Minister for another 20 years. She said that when she was the Union Minister, many development programs were undertaken in the district and she also took the SC and ST communities to Delhi.
Former minister Puvwada Ajaykumar praised the Congress party workers for fighting heroically against the irregularities.
She said that she would take the problems of Bhadrachalam Ram Temple to the attention of CM Revanth Reddy and work to solve them. She alleged that the BJP is acting foolishly without knowing the role of Khammam district in Ramayana.
Former Union Minister Renuka Chowdhury claimed that only she has the right to contest as a Congress candidate from Khammam Lok Sabha seat in the Congress party.
She added: If Sonia Gandhi wants to contest in Khammam but is she does not, there is no other leader who can match u to my eligibility for Khammam Lok Sabha seat.
