Telangana chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed officials on Wednesday to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the irregularities in the tender process for collecting toll taxes on the Hyderabad Outer Ring Road.
Revanth Reddy expressed outrage over the manner in which tenders were awarded for amounts that potentially undermine significant revenue due to the state government. The review was carried out at the Secretariat, focusing on HMDA.
At a review meeting, Revanth Reddy questioned the officials of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) for calling the tenders without fixing the minimum rate. CM ordered a thorough investigation into whole episode including the involvement of people and the organizations responsible in this tender process.
Amrapali Kata – Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority joint commissioner was instructed to furnish detailed information on the irregularities, procedural lapses and the file movements during tender process.
CM also asked the officials to file the cases against those responsible if it is found that the files related to this matter have disappeared.
