Revanth Reddy is currently the MalkajGiri MP. There was a discussion about which seat to contest in the next assembly elections. But Revanth Reddy gave clarity. Revanth Reddy has made it clear that he will contest from Kodangal in the next state assembly elections. Revanth Reddy met with Congress leaders in Kodangal constituency of Vikarabad district on Thursday.

 Speaking on this occasion, he questioned what CM KCR and KTR did to adopt Kodangal. Revanth revealed that he will contest from Kodangal in the upcoming elections and the constituency leaders will present the application on his behalf to the local leaders at Gandhi Bhavan. As a result, the position of Revanth’s contest has become clear.

Revanth Reddy won as Kodangal MLA from TDP in 2014 elections. He won that election with a majority of 14,614 votes. But after the formation of Telangana, TDP MLAs jumped into TRS with KCR’s Operation Akarsh. However, Revanth Reddy decided to stay in TDP. Chandrababu Naidu appointed Revanth Reddy as Telangana TDP Working President in 2017. However, due to the changed political situation in Telangana, Revanth Reddy, who felt that there is no chance of becoming a state level leader if he stays in TDP, left Congress in October 2017.

 In the 2018 assembly elections, Revanth Reddy, who contested again from Kodangal, was defeated by KCR.

Revanth Reddy, who contested from Malkajgiri in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, entered Parliament for the first time after winning against TRS candidate Marri Rajasekhar Reddy by a margin of 10,919 votes. Revanth Reddy, who is currently the president of TPCC, is trying to bring Congress to power.
