Revanth Reddy is going to Delhi today. As part of his visit, Telangana CM will meet key party leaders Mallikarjuna Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi.
The sources say that Revanth Reddy will discuss with the leaders the strategies to be followed on cabinet expansion, selection of the MLCs and the parliamentary elections. The Chief Minister will present the resolution made by PAC to the high command asking Sonia Gandhi to contest from Telangana in the parliamentary elections.
On the other hand, it seems that Revanth Reddy has sought the appointment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Along with the PM, several Union Ministers will meet to discuss the funds due to the state and other issues.
Meanwhile, Congress leaders of the state want Sonia Gandhi to contest from Telangana in the next Lok Sabha elections. As Lok Sabha elections are likely to come in the month March itself, the focus is already on that election. It has been decided to ask Sonia Gandhi to contest from Telangana state. TPCC Political Affairs Committee passed a unanimous resolution on Monday. This resolution will be sent to Mallikarjuna Kharge along with Sonia Gandhi. It is said that TPCC President and CM Revanth Reddy will also ask Sonia Gandhi to contest the Lok Sabha elections from Telangana.
