Recently during an interview, RRR composer MM Keeravani recalled how Ram Gopal Varma aka RGV’ association helped him in getting more chances.
Yesterday on account of #RRR celebrating the 1st anniversary of its release in theaters, MM Keeravani spoke to a local media. When the interviewer asked him a question about his collaboration with some of the top directors, Keeravani replied the directors like Mahesh Bhatt, K Balachander, and SS Rajamouli had confidence in their subjects than in his tunes. They used to select the tunes that were offered to them even if it was from the old stock tunes which was not case with other contemporary directors, whom he later thought of avoiding working with them.
Keeravani also talked about the time when he was new in this industry and called Ram Gopal Varma his first Oscar.
The music composer Keeravani said, “Let me tell you something Bharadwaj garu. Ram Gopal Verma aka RGV was my first Oscar. Now I received the Academy Award in the year 2023, it is my second Oscar. Let me tell you why. Because like all people I approach around fifty one people, they might have, some of them might have thrown my audio cassette into the trash can, never heard me, who cares? RGV gave me a chance to work for his movie Kshana Kshanam, Siva played an Oscar role for him because it was his first movie being a mega-hit. And RGV played an Oscar role in my career. Ram Gopal Varma was my Oscar. RGV’ association helped me in getting more chances.”
RGV shared the same video on Twitter and said: Hey @mmkeeravaani I am feeling dead because only dead people are praised like this.
