Samajwadi Party founder and three-time Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, died today morning after weeks in in Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. Mulayam Singh was 82. The  veteran politician was admitted in the Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, Haryana since the past few days, where he breathed his last. In a tweet, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav announced the passing away of his father and party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav. He said, “My respected father and everyone’ Neta-ji has died.”

Mulayam Singh Yadav has served as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh thrice and has also served in Union Government as the Minister of Defence. He has been elected ten times as MLA and seven times as Lok Sabha MP.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced a three days state mourning as a mark of respect to Mulayam Singh Yadav.  The former CM’ last rites will be performed with full state honour. 

Condoling his death, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted : Saddened by the passing away of Dr. Temsüla Ao, who played a pivotal role in popularising the wonderful Naga culture through her literary works. Her efforts in the fields of education and culture were noteworthy. Condolences to her family and friends. May her soul rest in peace.
