Tamil Nadu DMK leader, state minister, CM Stalin’s son and film hero Udhayanidhi Stalin‘s comments to eradicate Santan Dharma created a sensation across the country. One group is fighting against Udayanidhi’s comments, while another group is supporting them in the media and social media.

Many former judges of the High Court and former high officials have written to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (CJI) Justice DY Chandrachud, requesting that Udaya Nidhi’s comments be accepted as sumoto. They urged the Supreme Court to consider Udayanidhi’s comments as hate speech, saying they would cause religious hatred and violence in the society. Udaya Nidhi’s comments have hurt the minds of those who believe in India and Sanatan Dharma. The letter was signed by 14 former judges, 130 high officials and 118 military officers, including former Delhi High Court judge Justice Y.Yan Dhingra, former Union Shipping Secretary Gopalakrishna. Among them are 20 ex-ambassadors. In that letter, they quoted the Supreme Court’s previous judgment in the Shaheen Abdullah v. Union of India case.

Speaking at the Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers and Artists Association meeting in Chennai, Udayanidhi Stalin said that Sanatan Dharma should be completely eradicated. Orthodoxy is against the concept of social justice. “It is not enough to oppose some. They should be eradicated completely. It is not enough that we fight dengue, mosquitoes, malaria and corona. They should be eradicated. In the same way, orthodox religion should also be eradicated,” Udayanidhi Stalin commented. There was a big uproar over these comments. Udayanidhi Stalin Stalin refused to take back his comments and apologize. If necessary, he declared that he is ready to make those comments again.
