Sarkar Collections: Vijay , Keerthy Suresh and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar starrer political drama Sarkar, which was released yesterday on 6th November 2018, in a grand manner and received mixed response from everywhere, has collected Rs 2.32 Cr shares at the box office of both Telugu States- Andhra Pradesh and Telanagna on its opening day.

Sarkar is bankrolled by Sun Pictures and the music is scored by Oscar award winning music director AR Rahman. As Sarkar is based on the politics of Tamil Nadu, a minister from the government has asked for the removal of few scene from the film.
Ramesh Bala, the entertainment industry tracker wrote on the wall of Twitter, ”BREAKING: TN Minister #KadamburRaju says the #Sarkar scenes showing people throwing the TN Govt Free appliances into fire should be removed voluntarily from the movie If not, the Govt will take necessary steps to remove Also, he says some other scenes are politically motivated.”
Sarkar is all about is about the story of an NRI corporate who comes to India to cast his vote, but gets a shock when he comes to know that someone has already cast his vote on his behalf. Later he starts battle against the corrupt politician.
In Tamil Nadu, Vijay and Keerthy Suresh starrer Sarkar was released in over 650 screens. According to traders report, Sarkar has got a great opening across the globe. After Thupaki and Kaththi, this was the third time when AR Murugadoss and Vijay teamed up for a movie.
