An unexpected incident took place in the rally organized by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Mysore as part of the Karnataka election campaign. He conducted a road show in a special vehicle last night. People on both sides of the road greeted him by showering flowers on the convoy. Meanwhile, a mobile phone suddenly landed on his vehicle. When  PM Modi also saw this, the security personnel immediately got alerted. The mobile phone was taken into possession. It was thought that it was thrown at Modi as a target and there was a security breach in the rally. The arrival of a cell phone on the Prime Minister’s vehicle amid SPG security has sparked widespread concern.

However, it turned out that it was a BJP worker who threw the mobile. Law and Order Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Alok Kumar said that the man threw his phone at Modi in the excitement of seeing him, and that she had no other malicious intent.

“The person who threw the phone at the Prime Minister’s vehicle had no malicious intent. He did this with the excitement of seeing him. The phone belongs to a woman BJP worker. We have identified the person. We have returned the phone seized by SPG. We have sent a summons to record the statement in this matter,’ he disclosed.
