Bangladesh cricket team captain Shakib Al Hasan won as an MP in that country’s parliamentary elections. It is remarkable that he won with a majority of one and a half million votes.

Shakib Al Hasan, who joined the ruling Awami League party while being the captain of the Bangladesh cricket team, has now become an MP. Shakib won the parliamentary elections of that country. Standing from Magura constituency, he got 185,388 votes in the election.

Shakib Al Hasan won with a majority of 1 lakh 50 thousand votes against his nearest rival. The Awami League once again won a landslide victory in this election which was boycotted by the opposition and formed the government. Sheikh Hasina once again became the Prime Minister of Bangladesh. Awami League won 223 out of 300 seats in the country.

Sheikh Hasina became the Prime Minister of Bangladesh for the fifth time. The main opposition Bangladesh National Party boycotted the election. As a result, the ruling party has no real face. Parliament elections were held in Bangladesh on Sunday (January 7). It is remarkable that Shakib went into politics while being active in cricket.

Recently he joined Awami League. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that she should hit six in the election. As she said, she won as MP with a bumper majority.
