Shweta Basu Prasad  is a popular name in TV and film Industry. She has acted in predominantly in Hindi films and television. She won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for her role in Makdee. Although she has been an active part of the industry, with just a gap of a couple of years, Shweta Basu Prasad says that she was never exploited for work, thanks to her parents.  Makdee girl says that she is an outsider who grew up in the industry and considers it her extended family.

 Currently the talented lady Shweta Basu Prasad  is seen in the series Criminal Justice Season 3, where she is essaying the role of public prosecutor Lekha and is pitted against Pankaj Tripathi’s Madhav Mishra.  During the media interaction, the actress shared several interesting things.

Shweta Basu Prasad  said, “After Iqbal, my parents said no to a lot of movies. They said no to Rajkumar Santoshi’s Halla Bol and Madhur Bhandarkar’s Traffic Signal because they wanted me to study. I have had a lot of personal things growing up that I did apart from acting. I have made documentaries, and I have completed my graduation in Mass Media. After that, I assisted Anurag Kashyap when I was 23 years old on a short movie. I am very grateful to my parents that they balanced it out for me, and they did not exploit me, they did not make me work. My parents said no to work, and they made me study, they made sure that my graduation was done.”
