The central government has given unexpected support to the state of Andhra Pradesh, which is facing financial difficulties. The deficit faced by the state in the first year after the division of the state was released by the center as special financial assistance. The Center released a deficit of Rs10,461 crore for the financial year 2014-15.

It sanctioned the revenue deficit faced by the state in 2014-15 as ‘Special General Financial Assistance’. Official sources say that the release of funds was possible in the wake of the Chief Minister’s series of visits, consultations with the Center and political strategies.

The central government has released special financial assistance to the state of Andhra Pradesh, which is facing severe shortage of funds. It has released the deficit funds due nine years ago to the state, which is looking for cash for payment of employees’ salaries every month, implementation of welfare schemes and allocation of funds for development works.

The Center has shown compassion to Andhra Pradesh which is suffering from financial problems. It was such a huge relief that there was no need to look back for a few months. 10,460.87 crores has been released to the state under the revenue deficit of the financial year 2014-15. Mahendra Chandelia, Assistant Director of Central Finance Department, issued orders on 19th of this month sanctioning this amount under special general financial assistance. It has been mentioned that the funds issued by the center should be released to the Andhra Pradesh government immediately.

Since coming to power, AP CM Jagan has been appealing to Prime Minister Modi every time he has gone to Delhi to release the funds. Recently, as the financial problems of the state have increased, pressure was increased on the center to release revenue deficit funds. Finally, the Prime Minister’s Office ordered the funds to be sanctioned to the state.
