Strengthen Anganwadi Centres, set up Mobile Centres under GHMC Limits Nation

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy wants strict measures to be taken to provide proper nutrition to pregnant women and infants in Anganwadi centers. He said that the statistics revealed by NHFS that pregnant women, infants and children are falling ill in the state due to malnutrition and anemia is alarming. He believes that it is not right for the standards of health to go up and to go down. He reviewed with the officials on Saturday  whether nutritional food is being delivered to the actual beneficiaries through the Angan Wadi centers or suggested that the authorities should monitor it properly.

He said that adequate measures should be taken to prevent misuse of nutritious food just by writing it in the records. The CM has issued orders to implement biometrics for pregnant women, infants and children. It is suggested that CC cameras should be set up in the 35 thousand Anganwadi centers in the state and Biometrics in Anganwadis. He said that all records should be preserved in digital form so that auditing is possible.
