Strong demand for tickets in ruling Congress party

There is a strong demand for tickets in the ruling Congress party. In the Telangana Legislative Assembly elections held in December last year, the Congress won 11 of the 12 assembly constituencies in the combined district.

This increased the demand for MP tickets from the Congress. While there are 7 assembly segments in each Lok Sabha constituency, Nalgonda MP seat, Nalgonda, Devarakonda, Nagarjuna Sagar, Miryalagudem, Hujur Nagar and Kodada seats are in the hands of the Congress, while only Suryapet is in the hands of the BRS.

Janagama assembly seat under Bhuvanagiri MP seat is in the hands of BRS, while the remaining six segments of Aleru, Bhuvanagiri, Tungaturthi, Nakirekal, Munugodu and Ibrahimpatnam are in the hands of Congress.

Congress MPs are contesting for tickets. Many people have already applied for Nalgonda MP seat. Senior Congress leader Kunduru Jana Reddy’s son Kunduru Raghuveer Reddy, Suryapet leader Patel Ramesh Reddy, Komati Reddy’s main follower Nalgonda Town Congress President Gummala Mohan Reddy and some others have applied.

Dr. Suryapavan Reddy, son of Minister Komati Reddy Venkata Reddy’s brother, is hoping for Bhuvanagiri ticket. On the other hand, there is a campaign going on in the Congress that Komati Reddy’s daughter Srinidhi Reddy is also in the ticket race for the Nalgonda seat. Overall, there is a lot of competition for Nalgonda and Bhuvanagiri MP tickets in the Congress.

There is competition for Nalgonda MP seat in BRS too. Gutta Amit Reddy, son of Telangana Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy, is hoping for Nalgonda MP ticket from BRS. To this extent, he said that he has also received an assurance from his superiors, but there is a lack of clarity.
