The Supreme Court adjourned Chandrababu Naidu’ plea for anticipatory bail in the Cybernet case to November 8. A bench of Justice Aniruddha Bose and Justice Bela M Trivedi announced that the hearing was adjourned at the request of lawyer Siddhartha Luthra, who argued on behalf of Chandrababu.

After the trial started in the Supreme Court, Chandrababu’s lawyer Siddharth Luthra brought to the notice of the apex court that three FIRs have already been registered and the court has reserved judgment on one. In this order, the court was requested to adjourn the trial. Responding to this, the government lawyer said that the question of arrest does not arise in relation to the person in custody. He told the court that judicial custody will continue in that case as well. The same has been explained in the counter affidavit filed by them. The Supreme Court adjourned the hearing.

The AP High Court granted bail to all the others in the Pipernet case, but rejected Chandrababu’s petition. With this, Chandrababu’s lawyers filed a petition in the Supreme Court. When this petition came up for hearing on Friday, Chandrababu’s lawyer Siddharth Luthra heard arguments before the bench comprising Justice Aniruddha Bose and Justice Bela N. Trivedi. On the other hand, four petitions related to Chandrababu will be heard in the ACB court on Friday.
