Tension prevailed in Guntur during the New Year celebrations. It is known that Minister Vidadala Rajini has been appointed as the in-charge of Guntur West Constituency. She set up an office in Vidyanagar, Guntur. The office was supposed to be inaugurated this morning. However, TDP-Jana Sena workers attacked the office where Rajini was supposed to start at midnight yesterday.
In middle of the night some miscreants attacked the office. On receiving the information, the police resorted to baton charge and dispersed the crowd. Some people were detained. Arrangements were made at the office. The police worked hard to control the large number of TDP-Janasena fans and activists.
The sources say that on the occasion of New Year celebrations in Guntur, stones were pelted on the YCP office where the minister had set up an office near Vidya Nagar Ring Road. Due to this, office glasses were destroyed. Arrangements were made for the inauguration of the party office on January 1.
TDP and Jana Sena activists performed milk abhisheka at NTR’s statue near Rajani’s office at night. After that, a rally was held. On the occasion of New Year, TDP-Janasena workers organized a huge rally on Sunday night. It is said that there was a clash with the YCP workers while the vehicles were passing through Minister Rajini’s office. During the rally, some pelted stones on the office. The windows of the office were destroyed in this attack.
On the other hand, Minister Vidadala Rajini accused TDP workers of attacking his party office.
