Today there is tension in Amaravati. Challenges between TDP and YCP leaders, caused tension. The police had to struggle to stop the ranks of TDP and YCP leaders. 

 The police lathi-charged the TDP workers who tried to enter the Amaralingeshwar temple in Amaravati. Many TDP workers were arrested by the police. On the other hand, former MLA Kommalapati Sridhar and several TDP workers were detained by the police.

Challenges took place between the leaders of TDP and YCP to swear Amaravati Amareswara Swamy as a witness on sand mining and development of the constituency in Peddakurapadu constituency of Guntur district. MLA Namburu Shankar Rao responded to the challenge made by former MLA Kommalapati Sridhar on corruption in sand mining in Pedakurapadu assembly constituency. Namburu Shankar Rao released a video today saying that he is ready for a public debate.  

Former MLA Kommalapati Sridhar reached the Amareswara Swamy temple to participate in this discussion. At the same time, MLA Namburi Shankar Rao came to reach the Amareswara temple. After learning about this, the police arrested former MLA Sridhar and other TDP workers. While taking Kommalapati Sridhar to the police station, the TDP cadres destroyed the police van. At this time, the police lathi charged the TDP leaders. On the other hand, YCP workers also came to support MLA Shankar Rao to participate in this discussion.
