BRS has announced its candidates for 115 out of 119 Assembly Constituencies in the State for the next Assembly elections here on August 21 with only seven changes. 

Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao- KCR is ready to enter the election battle field. In this regard, the list of MLA candidates for the upcoming assembly elections has been announced. The first list with names of 115 candidates has been released. He said that only 7 changes are being made. Vemulawada, Khanapur, Asifabad, Uppal, Korutla, Station Ghanpur, Vaira sittings are said to be changing. He said that all the rest are sitting in the ring. And CM KCR announced that he is contesting from 2 seats.

BRS’ strategy in releasing the candidate list in advance seems much in adherence to their 2018 polls strategy which also saw the party will the state assembly elections.

After CM KCR decided to contest in two seats, the discussion started in the political circles.  KCR has announced that he will contest from both Gajvel and Kamareddy seats. KCR seems to have taken this decision as part of a political strategy.  KCR’s daughter MLA Kavitha did not get a place in the first list. Will Kavitha be sent to the Lok Sabha? Political sources say that it is to be known whether the seat will be allotted at the last minute.
