Telangana authorities have asked AP authorities to leave the Andhra Pradesh-Telangana Bhavan, which is adjacent to the Hyderabad House in Delhi, as the people of Telangana have emotional ties. If it is given to them, they suggested that they should take more than seven acres of land in Pataudi House and construct a new building there. 

After the formation of Telangana, the Center distributed the common immovable properties of the two states in Delhi, the national capital. In this context, the officials of the two states met yesterday regarding the AP-Telangana Bhavan Vijabhana. SS Rawat, Adityanath Das, Prema Chandra Reddy, AP Bhavan Assistant Resident Commissioner Himanshu Kaushik and others were present as representatives, while Ramakrishna Rao, Special Chief Secretary, State Finance Department, Telangana Bhavan Resident Commissioner Dr. Gaurav Uppal were present from Telangana. 

Speaking on this occasion, the Telangana officials requested that Andhra Pradesh-Telangana Bhavan located on Ashoka Road should be completely left to them. He said that the people of Telangana have inseparable emotional ties with it.

Meanwhile, during the bifurcation of the state, the common assets were distributed to AP and Telangana in the ratio of 52:48. Ashoka Road in Delhi and Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Marg together, both the states have a total of 19.733 acres of land. Out of this total land, AP-Telangana Bhavan on Ashoka Road is 8.726 acres and AP’s share is 4.3885 acres. Its value is Rs. 1,703.6 crores. Telangana’s share is 4.3375 acres and its value is Rs. 1,694.4 crores. Further, 0.511 acres of the road is 0.2555 acres for both the states. Its value is Rs. 160 crores. 

AP officials responded positively to the proposal of Telangana authorities and said that they will take a decision after discussing the matter with their Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy. With this, the representatives of both the states decided to meet again next week.
