Telangana’s senior BJP leader Nallu Indrasena Reddy has been appointed as the Governor of Tripura by President Draupadi Murmu. At the time of Telangana assembly elections, the central government has taken a key decision by assigning key responsibilities to a senior leader from the state. In this regard, the President’s office issued an order on Wednesday night.

Born on January 1, 1953, Indrasena Reddy won the elections held in 1983, 1985 and 1999 as an MLA from Hyderabad’s Malakpet constituency. In 1989 and 1994, they lost in Malakpet. He played a vital role in strengthening the party in Telangana irrespective of the victories. In 1999, he served as the legislative party leader of the BJP in the joint Andhra Pradesh Assembly.

Indrasena Reddy served as AP BJP state president between 2003-07. In 2014, he was appointed as the National Secretary of the party and in 2020 as a special invitee of the National Committee of the party.

Nalgonda in 2004 and Bhuvanagiri Lok Sabha seat in 2014 and lost. Many of the senior leaders of the Telangana BJP have already been appointed governors. Former presidents V. Rama Rao, Chennamaneni Vidyasagar Rao and Bandaru Dattatreya, who played a key role in strengthening the party in united Andhra Pradesh, have already been given the governor posts. Now Indrasena Reddy is going to take charge as the Governor.
