Budget 2023-24:   Cabinet meeting chaired by CM KCR on Sunday approved the annual state budget for 2023-24 fiscal.  On Monday Telangana finance minister T Harish Rao  proposed an expenditure of Rs 2,90,396 cr, with revenue expenditure of Rs 2,11,685 cr and capital expenditure at Rs 37,525 cr.


Key Budget Allocations

Finance – Rs 49,749 Cr

Education – Rs 19,093 Cr

Health – Rs 12,161 Cr

Panchayat Raj – Rs 31,426 Cr

Agriculture – Rs 26,831 Cr

Irrigation – Rs 26,885 Cr

Electricity – Rs 12,727 Cr

Municipal and Urban Development – Rs 11,372 Cr

Dalit Bandhu – Rs 17,700 Cr

Roads and Buildings Dept – Rs 22,260 Cr

Industries and Commerce – Rs 4037 Cr

Minorities Welfare – Rs 2200 Cr

Backward Class Welfare – Rs 6229 Cr

Animal Husbandry and Fisheries – Rs 2071 Cr

Revenue Department – Rs 3560 Cr

Tribal Welfare – Rs 3965 Cr

Asara Pensions – Rs 12,000 Cr

Kalyana Lakshmi/Shaadi Mubarak – Rs 3210 Cr

Rythu Bandhu – Rs 1575 Cr

Rythu Bhima – Rs 1589 Cr

Palle and Pattana Pragathi – Rs 4834 Cr

elanagana budget session will continue till 12th February. T Harish Rao   said, “ State has suffered discrimination even after the  formation. In the combined state, we suffered at the hands of  then rulers. And now we suffer similar discrimination by  the Centre. The Centre is creating hurdles in the path of  Telangana progress.”
