The threats of cyber criminals are increasing. Not only the illiterate people are also being cheated. Phones are hacked and the money in the bank account is stolen. They say that they are calling from a certain company and send OTPs and steal hard-earned money through net backing and other methods. They are blackmailing and collecting money by morphing the photos and videos of some people and posting them on social media.
There are some who bear this in silence, while there are some who bravely complain to the police. But sometimes cybercriminals are unable to tell anyone about their sufferings, and the incidents of forced death are also increasing. Recently, a similar incident took place in Nizamabad. Unable to bear the suffering of cyber criminals, an MLA candidate committed suicide.
According to the details given by the police, Yamaganti Kannaiah Goud, a wholesale vegetable trader lives in Sainagar in Nizamabad city. Some time ago, as the notification for the Telangana Assembly elections was released, he was expected to contest as an MLA. With this, Kannaiah Goud contested from the Nizamabad Urban seat on behalf of the Alliance of Democratic Reforms Party.
But recently Yamaganti Kannaiah Goud’ phone was hacked by hackers. He took photos and morphed them. They made obscene videos with them. Later those videos were sent to his phone. They started blackmailing to give money based on them. He could not tell anyone about this. Due to extreme depression and fear, he committed suicide at home on Sunday morning. The police have registered a case.
Kannaiah Goud is survived by wife and their baby. Police shifted Kannaiah’ body for post-mortem at Government General Hospital.
