Telangana Govt eyes Musi rejuvenation on lines of Thames

The Telangana government has focused on the measures to be taken for the revival of Musi. As part of this, CM Revanth Reddy, who is on a London tour, had a long discussion with the officials of the Thames River Governing Council.

The Chief Minister inquired about the management of the river Thames and the development of the riverfront project there.

On Thursday, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy held discussions with the officials and experts of the Thames River Governing Council, Port of London Authority, and experts there for about three hours. Corporate Affairs Director Sian Foster and Ford of London Authority Head Raj Kehal Livy explained to the CM the comprehensive development programs undertaken along the banks of the Thames River in various stages over the decades. As part of that, the challenges faced, solutions, funds spent, partner organizations, and best practices adopted for beautification were all discussed on this occasion.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy explained that Hyderabad will become more powerful with rivers and lakes if Musi is revived through the revival project. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s London officials held positive discussions to undertake this project in accordance with his vision 2050. The officials there explained that along with development programs on the banks of the river, the preservation of the river has been given top priority. He said that by keeping the river waters stable, the revenue model should be chosen which is more beneficial to the local people through the chosen project.
