Lasya Nandita, the MLA of Bharat Rashtra Samithi died in a terrible road accident today in Hyderabad. She sustained serious injuries when her vehicle lost control and collided with the road divider.
The car driver is badly injured and being treated in a hospital. But, Lasya Nandita breathed her last during the treatment. Besides this, Lasya had survived another accident in Narkatpally. During the time, she suffered with minor injuries.
Previously, Lasya had also served as a corporator from Kavadiguda. She entered into politics around 10 years ago.
Several political leaders are expressing condolences to Lasya’s family. The senior BRS leader KT Rama Rao wrote on X, “This was about a week ago. Just now heard the absolute tragic & shocking news that Lasya is no more. Woke up to the devastating loss of the young legislator who was a very good leader in the making. My heartfelt prayers for strength to her family and friends in this terrible and difficult time.”
Lasya was entrusted with the responsibility of carrying forward the legacy of his father G Sayanna, who died last year. She secured a victory after being nominated as the party’s candidate in the November 2023 elections.
