Telangana RERA:  Real estate company to pay Rs 10 crore fine

The Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) has increased its aggressiveness in the last few days. It is known that many real estate companies are being flogged without permits or violating RERA regulations. Recently, many real estate companies in the state have received a shock and expressed anger over violation of rules and non-response to show cause notices. A fine of Rs 10.74 crore has been levied on Sahiti Constructions Private Limited for advertising and marketing activities without obtaining registration. Ignoring RERA notices is taken seriously.

RERA has imposed a penalty of Rs 6.50 crore on Mantri Developers. RERA Chairman Satyanarayana said that a delinquency fee of Rs 25 lakh has been imposed on Sai Surya Developers. It is stated that a fine has been imposed on the project near the Jubilee Hills check post. Sahithi Infratech Ventures India Private Limited, a company belonging to Sahithi Group, has purchased commercial and residential flats in Gachibowli, Rangareddy District under the name of ‘Sahithi Sitar Commercial’ without Rera registration. After receiving complaints, RERA focused on this. Apart from this, Rera said that Sahitya Infratech constructions have also taken up purchases in two other places and ordered to pay the fine within 15 days.

Recently RERA has taken a key decision. Virtual procedure has been introduced for speedy trial of real estate cases.  As senior citizens and people from faraway areas are facing difficulties, virtual system has been started. It has been revealed that this procedure will be implemented with new technology for the convenience of the complainants. It has been clarified that the complainants can attend the virtual hearing from anywhere

Until now, the complainants and parties had to appear before the Rera Bench individually for the settlement of cases. As a result, the parties would suffer a lot. Keeping all these in mind, RERA has taken a decision in this direction.
