Congress party is implementing the promises given in the election campaign one by one. Now another guarantee is going to implement. The Congress guaranteed that the services would be provided free of cost to households consuming less than 200 units of electricity. It has announced this guarantee in the name of Griha jyoti. Recently the govt also decided to implement free current guarantee. As a part of this, necessary arrangements are being made for the implementation of this guarantee.
Power distribution companies in Telangana state started issuing ‘zero bills’ to eligible households as ‘Gruha Jyothi’ scheme for 200 units of free electricity came into force.
The Officials said the families who hold white ration cards and have linked it with Aadhaar cards and have applied for this scheme during Praja Palana will be issued ‘zero bills’ if their monthly consumption is below 200 units. According to the official, necessary changes have been made in the billing software to issue ‘zero bills’.
Telangana Congress government started the implementation of two guarantees including ‘Gruha Jyothi’. Telangana CM also launched another scheme to provide a cooking gas cylinder for Rs 500.
