The farmers are regarded as the backbone of the nation. This is because they pursue agriculture which is regarded as the backbone of the Indian economy. Farmers are the strength and backbone of the economy of any country. The food we eat and the food that keeps us healthy and strong is provided by the farmers. According to the survey ‘State of the states 2022: States of excellence’, Telangana is the most farmer-friendly state. The state Telangana scored 275 points out of 320 to become the top state in agriculture. Whereas Rajasthan with 223.1 points is at a the second place. Telangana jumped to the number one position from number 2 by replacing MP which now stands in 5th place. Andhra Pradesh has managed 193 points.
In this list of ‘Most Improved Big States Agriculture category, Telangana has topped whereas Andhra Pradesh- AP stood at sixth position. From 12th spot, AP jumped to 6th place which is a good achievement.
Telangana is also the only state to invoke the Preventive Detection Act against the suppliers of spurious seeds.
This report is a fitting testament to the fact that Chief Minister KCR is forging ahead to make farming profitable in Telangana state and across India and it proves that ‘Ab ki bar Kisan sarkar’ is not a mere slogan but CM KCR follows it in true spirit.
