Former Minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy resigned from his post three days ago. The chief minister’s office officials and key leaders have been trying to pacify Balineni but to no avail. He resigned from the post of regional coordinator of YCP last week. Balineni resigned from the post of regional coordinator of Nellore, Tirupati and Kadapa districts. YCP leaders called him to come to Tadepalli to discuss the issue, but Balineni did not respond.

Former minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy was once a target of the YSRCP in the joint Prakasam district. Now the situation has changed. Balineni feels that he is not getting the priority he deserves. Balineni Srinivasa Reddy has been unhappy ever since he lost his post in a cabinet reshuffle last year. Balineni’s loss of office and the continuation of minister Adimulapu Suresh as a minister seemed to add spice to Balineni’s wound.

In Prakasam district, Suresh continued as a minister and Balineni Srinivasa Reddy complained that it would be an insult to him if he was removed, but to no avail. After that, the Chief Minister himself calmed down and assured that the status of the minister will have no less recognition. After that he was assigned the responsibility of coordinator for three districts. Since then Balineni’s unhappiness has continued.

Recently in Prakasam district, the police blocked Balineni’s vehicle while going to the helipad during the fund release program of ABC Nestham. In the recent transfers of DSPs in AP, the appointment of an Ongole DSP without Baline’s knowledge was also a cause for concern.
