It is proud for the makers of the stupendous blockbuster movies RRR and The Last Film Show (Chhellow Show) that these two movies are shortlisted for the Oscars 2023. At one hand, RRR is shortlisted for its spicy number Naatu Naatu, while The Last Film Show was shortlisted under the category of ‘The International Feature Film’.
Including documentary and international features as well as a documentary short subject, makeup and hairstyling, original score, original song, animated short, live-action short, sound and visual effects, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences disclosed its shortlists for the 2023 Oscars in ten categories.
Out of the films from 92 nations and regions that were eligible, 15 international feature films are advanced. The list contains Close (Belgium), Decision to leave (South Korea), All Quiet on the Western Front (Germany), Alejandro G, etc.
Totally, 15 songs have been shortlisted from among 81 tunes, as far as RRR’s Best Song category is concerned. The voting for nominations will begin from January 12 and will be ended on Jan 17. Whereas, the nominations will be announced on the 24th of the same month. In Hollywood, the Academy awards will take place at the Dolby Theatre on March 12, 2023.
