Thunivu Box office Collections: The much-awaited box office clash of Ajith Kumar and Thalapathy Vijay has happened after a long gap of 9 years, and the two leading actors’ respective films ‘Varisu’ and ‘Thunivu’ released on the same day, on Jan 11, as a Pongal treat to fans. Now according to the latest update, Thunivu joined the $1 Million club in North America and it is the first movie of Ajith Kumar which achieved this feat.
Ajith Kumar played as a baddie in ‘Thunivu’, however, H Vinoth’s directorial venture didn’t turn out the best for the director. Mohana Sundaram, Samuthirakani, Manju Warrier, John Kokken, and Veera have played crucial roles in the film, which is produced by noted producer Boney Kapoor.
The movie Thunivu follows a dreaded gangster named Radha. He and his men plan to rob one of the bank in Chennai, only to realize that another gang led by a mysterious person Dark Devil, has already hijacked the bank.
Thunivu is doing wonders everywhere. The movies’ performance in Tamil Nadu is especially remarkable. The film opened at Rs 24.59 crore on Wednesday and enjoyed the extended five day weekend.
Thunivu is giving tough competition to Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Varisu at the box office.
