TSRTC to operate 6,000 spl buses for Medaram Jatara

Medaram fair known as Telangana Kumbh Mela is held every two years for four days in Magha Masam. More than crores of devotees from all over the world flock to this fair. Popularly known as the biggest fair after the Kumbh Mela, this festival takes place at Medaram in Tadwai Mandal of Mulugu District. TS RTC will run special buses for this fair. While the fair will start from 21st of this month, TSRTC has announced that it will run special buses from all over the state for eight days from 18th to 25th.

Six thousand special buses will be available to take the devotees safely to their destinations during Medaram Jatara. Around 15 thousand RTC staff will participate in the duties. TS RTC has set up a base camp with a temporary bus stand in an area of 55 acres. At the base camp, 50 lines of 7 km length were constructed. Officials of TSRTC said that the Mahalakshmi scheme will be applicable to the women of Telangana going to Medaram Jatara. RTC has made special arrangements to bring more than 30 lakh passengers to Medaram through TS RTC buses.

TSRTC will operate 6,000 special bus services while the tourism department to operate helicopter services for devotees.
