The authorities of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam are expecting a heavy intrusion of pilgrims to the hilltop shrine of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala, as there are continuous holidays from August 11 -15. They have requested pilgrims to cooperate with the TTD and plan their darshan and accommodation in advance.
Cut to this, the felicitous month of Peratasi is also starting from September 18 and will last upto October 17. Due to this, the TTD has requested senior citizens, differently-abled, those with chronic diseases, parents with infants to plan their Tirumala pilgrimage after Peratasi month to avoid any sort of disruption.
Only some particular time slots are allotted for the pilgrims for darshan. They should come with preparedness and patience to wait for long hours in the compartments and in queue lines till their turn of darshan.
The Tirumala temple is dedicated to Venkateswara, a form of Vishnu, who is believed to have appeared on the earth to save mankind from trials and troubles of Kali Yuga. It is the most famous and richest temple in Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh.
