We had already reported that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is going for Delhi tour to meet the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the special status of Andhra Pradesh. Now, from the latest reports, it was known that Jagan had a meeting with PM and Amit Shah on Tuesday, had put his points on AP status. Later he paid a formal visit to President Ramnath Kovind and then he decided to meet Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
Jagan had 40 minutes of long narrative meeting with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and during the meet, AP CM has put all his points on financial hiccups of his youngest state and urged a request to sanction special financial assistance from apart of regular allocated funds to the state.
He asked the FM to release the pending amount of Rs 5,000 Cr funds to accelerate the construction of Polavaram project. Apart from this he also had a word with the FM about the financial assistance in the state government’s prestigious ‘Navaratna’ schemes, per the government sources.
