Vaishnav Tej starrer romantic drama Uppena is doing fantastic collections at the box office and is winning the hearts of the movie lovers. The film Uppena, helmed by Bucchi Babu Sana, has Krithi Shetty as the leading lady and it marks the debut of Vaishnav Tej in Tollywood. Now according to the latest update, the film Uppena has collected over 10 cr worldwide, wherein it raked 8 Cr + in AP and TS alone on its third day. Vaishnav Tej starrer Uppena has also broken the highest grosser record for a debut hero film.
Mega Power Star Ram Charan starrer Chirutha collected Rs 25 Cr for full run whereas Uppena crossed the mark in just three days. In this manner, Vaishnav Tej crushed Ram Charan’ record in just three days.
Apart from the lead pair, the film Uppena also has Sai Chand, Gayatri Jayaram, Mahadevan and Rajeev Kanakala in the crucial roles.
While both Telugu states governments have reduced the occupancy in theatres/cinema halls to 50 per cent from 100 per cent due to rise in Coronavirus cases but the decision has not impacted the film’s business as such. Released on 12th February, Uppena has earned praise from both critics and the audience.
