The Tamil movie ‘Valimai‘ starring Karthikeyan Gummakonda as the villain and directed by H.Vinod Ajith as Hero has been dubbed into Telugu under the same name. Released worldwide on February 24, the film received positive talk, but could not stand in Telugu because of the ‘Bhimla Nayak‘ effect. Performed somewhat well in existing theaters but could not stand for more days.

The theatrical business of ‘Valimai’ in Telugu states was Rs 2.4 crore. Break Even should get a share of up to Rs 2.5 crore. By the end of the full run, the film had grossed Rs 2.26 crore a share. With that, the buyers lost Rs 0.14 crore on the business.
The target is small .. If not for ‘Bhimla’, then Ajith would have achieved a break even in Telugu and got a clean hit.Now it matches the average result. But this is the first time in recent times that Ajith films have collected so much.
