TDP was furious over the sudden transfer of Raja Rao, Superintendent of Rajahmundry Central Jail, who had given them permission for Mulakat in Rajahmundry Central Jail. It demanded that his transfer be stopped immediately. The party’s general secretary Varla Ramaiah made these comments while talking to reporters at the TDP central office yesterday.

Varla Ramaiah recalled that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was arrested on corruption charges and spent 16 months in the jail in Chanchalguda, Hyderabad. He said that at that time, his wife, mother, sister, other family members and party leaders used to meet Jagan Mohan Reddy with official permission.

Even in Rajahmundry Central Jail, TDP leaders were given the opportunity to meet according to the rules, is it any crime to allow them? He asked. Is that against the law? He deposed that. Raja Rao, who belongs to the tribal tribe, slandered how they would transfer as if giving permission to them was some great sin.

Raja Rao said that in 32 years of service, there was not even a single remark and it was outrageous to transfer such an officer on a whim. Varla Ramaiah demanded that the government should withdraw his transfer immediately regardless of any moral values.
