The young and talented actor Vijay Deverakonda became a producer with the recently released comedy entertainer Meeku Matrame Cheptha in which Pelli Choopulu fame director Tharun Bhascker is playing the lead role. The small-budget film, which was released last week and received mixed response by the movie lovers, is doing decent collections at the box office. The team of Meeku Matrame Cheptha is working hard to promote the film even after release.

Recently, Tharun Bhascker leaked his chat with Vijay Deverakonda on his microblogging page in which both were seen a conversation with friendly banter. Tharun Bhascker requested Vijay Deverakonda to dance in his next upcoming flick, but Geetha Govindam actor said no to him. Later Tharun Bhascker asked Vijay Deverakonda to hold a special screening for the students and Dear Comrade stars accepted it immediately. The team of Meeku Matrame Cheptha is also announced that they are going to arrange a special screening of the film.

Incidentally, Vijay Deverakonda had promised Tharun Bhascker a film with Tharun in the lead role, so he introduced Tharun as an actor in his production venture Meeku Matrame Cheptha. According to the latest update, Maa TV had already acquired the satellite and digital rights of the film before its release for an amount of Rs 3 Cr. The source says, the producer and director Madhura Sreedhar, helped Vijay Deverakonda to sell the satellite rights.

Meeku Matrame Cheptha is directed by Shameer Sultan and is produced by Vijay Deverakonda under ‘King of Hill Entertainments’. The film also has Anasuya Bharadwaj, Vani Bhojan, Pavani Gangireddy and Abhinav Gomatam in lead roles.

On the other side, Vijay Deverakonda is currently busy in romantic flick World Famous Lover, which has four actresses- Aishwarya Rajesh, Raashi Khanna, Catherine Tresa, and Izabelle Leite, helmed by Kranthi Madhav and which is on the verge of completion and will hit the theaters next year.
