YCP Rajya Sabha Member Vijayasai Reddy said that Andhra Pradesh is on the path of development. It is said to be competing with other southern states in achieving the highest per capita income. He said that AP has achieved this feat despite the problems of division. According to the Economic Survey statistics of the Reserve Bank of India, this matter is becoming clear.

National average per capita income is Rs 1,50,007 while the per capita income of AP is Rs 2,07,771, Vijayasai said. Hyderabad, a pharma and IT hub, has a per capita income of Rs 2,65,623 while the per capita income of AP is very high even though there are no big industries. He said that the per capita income of AP is increasing due to technology background students settling abroad. According to RBI statistics, there is a competition between Karnataka and Hyderabad in terms of economic development. At the same time, three other southern states including AP are also taking a step forward in the economic growth rate.
