YSRCP raises Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh once again. YCP MP Vijayasai Reddy said: YSRC will continue to raise the issue of Special Category Status for AP, apart from demanding the Centre fulfill all the assurances made in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act,
YCP MP Vijayasai Reddy today tweeted to highlight the BJP-led central government’s attitude towards special status for AP, declaration of the end of the chapter and the way it is seen as an election issue. In this tweet, he indirectly criticized the behavior of the BJP and the Centre. With this, there is a debate whether the YCP is preparing for another fight during the elections on special status or whether they made this tweet to claim that they mentioned it during the Parliament sessions.
So let’s see what Vijayasai Reddy said in the tweet. Sayreddy said, ” Special Category Status for AP is not an old or forgone issue. The @YSRCParty MPs will continue to raise and remind the central government and its allies of its broken promises made to AP. For other parties, SCS is an electoral issue but for us, it is an emotional issue.”
YCP keeps reminding the Center about special status for AP. CMO also says in the press notes that CM Jagan mentions this issue whenever he goes to Delhi. However, as there is no response from the Centre, it seems that this issue will come to the fore before the elections once again.
